I can't believe 2 of the fellas are buying into Iowa, with a coach most likely to want credit for winning 10 games when they should win 11. Iowa still can't hang with the top teams, and keeps the score close enough to lose games they shouldn't, see the Minnesota game and almost the Purdue game.
Speaking of Purdue, there really isn't much to talk about, other than that you can see what Ryan Walters is trying to do, he just doesn't have the horses, and hiring Graham Harrell to placate the fan base that is used to an aerial attack is going to be a mistake. At least we had Zach Edey.
You could have just mentioned that Purdue played in the National Championship game in April and their fans are pretty happy regardless of what the football team does.
Mentioned this on Twitter but I do apologize about one Purdue thing, which is that I misread something from my (pretty detailed!) notes and described a pretty mid TE transfer to A&M as an important loss (probably not) while neglecting Deion Burks (actually good). Sorry it did not do it for you. Was not my best moment and I aim to do better in talking about every team.
I'd argue Maryland doesn't need to "knock off an elite opponent" as much as it needs to "cut down on the number of really stupid losses." last year there were two (to Illinois and Northwestern), if they pull those out they go into the bowl season with 9 wins.
Sure? But I think if you can consistently win between 8-10 games and not beat any of the big time teams in the conference, that basically just makes you Penn State, and I think people would be okay with that (I definitely know I'd be).
Same, but I think winning just one of these bigguns would really change the tenor of conversation in a way that even two or three 9-3s wouldn't. Not mutually exclusive though.
Spotify’s transcription tool has Cignetti as Sigdaddy and we need to start calling him that

Disappointed you didn’t really try to know anything about Purdue but just pull some crap off the top of your heads.
We offer refunds if requested, otherwise keep it respectful if you want to stay here

I think to get people excited, they have to win a big one. That's just my read of the fanbase.
