What do you think Godfrey got a bigger kick out of? Herbie going on and on about how great the view at the Rose Bowl was or Joe Tess talking about how much of a disaster Kenny Dillingham inherited without mentioning his coworker, Herm Edwards.
Alex, thank you for being SZD's eyes and ears at the Graddaddy of Them All. The Rose Bowl is genuinely awesome and an important part of what makes college football great, in my opinion.
between the headshot on gunny stockton at the end of the SEC championship, the shoulder to head on the texas receiver on that amazing ASU interception & the blatant non call targeting on the late ASU drive..
all three were reviewed & called clean. does it not seem that the officials have been told to “deemphasize” targeting calls?
Thank you for getting the ASU targeting thing right. I'm done with professional football talkers saying "I don't even know what the rule is anymore so I guess I'm glad they didn't call it" like the rule isn't freely available on the internet and can't be read in under one minute.
I agree only because of Day’s Michigan problem, but I think this OSU team is more complete when playing to it’s potential. I think on its face this is a wash at the moment and it’s essentially an any given Saturday type bet, but if OSU continues its rampage through the playoff by blowing out Texas and then ND/Penn State I don’t think it’s as much of a debate. It would complete one of the most dominant playoff runs ever. The caveat being Day however, I’d still be nervous about that bet.

the lack of pointing out the Edwards thing at Edwards' current employer is notable!
I guarantee that 10 times out of 10, in the same situation with a non coworker the announce team is mentioning the previous coach.

Nerd checking in, pretty sure Abdul Carter posted Vader in a bacta tank.
Yeah saw the tweet, it's Vader in a bacta tank from Rogue One.
Does Richard know something I don’t? Howard came back in the game and was walking pretty freely postgame, where is it reported he’s out next week?

Terry McCauley explained this in detail on twitter. The goal is clearly to find ways to not call targeting.
just realizing all of these were in atlanta, go falcons?
go falcons.

2023 Michigan still beats this OSU team like a rented mule.
