Great episode and great listen. I do think his emphathis on development in college is a tad misguided. It isn’t the colleges job to develop a player to go to the nfl, it is to win games. Now it isn’t mutually exclusive, to attract players you do have to recruit that they will be nfl ready but tbh that’s not a coaches primary goal.
Coaches aren’t getting hired (except Lincoln?) on how many players they’re sending to the nfl, but how many games their winning.

To add I wish there was pushback on “it’s on them (colleges) to prepare players for the draft process” because it’s literally not.
I’m sure big blue nation really cares about how many lottery picks have lost them games on the first weekend of the NCAAT
as someone who has next to no interest in the draft, this was a cool conversation and I enjoyed it.
