Chicagoan here, DeKalb you pronounce the L. Regionally specific in the same way Des Moines is a silent S but they pronounce the S in Des Plaines, a Chicago suburb.

I lived in the NW Suburbs of Chicago, came here to say the same about DeKalb. How Chicagoland people pronounce "Roosevelt Road" is something else entirely.

22:04 the EMU section was great, I’ve been fascinated with them since NCAA 11. Creighton has taken a sledgehammer to the edifice of the MAC. His devoted gray clad rabble emerge from behind armed only with broken concrete and bent rebar to curb stomp their way to a 4-4 conference record.

I knew Godfrey was a man of sophisticated tastes, but a Jon Breaks Bad News shout out confirms it. Also, Kalamazoo native and while I'm not a Bronco grad, I still pay attention and 12-0 ongoing was definitely not the assumption in the wake of Fleck's departure. There was hope it could turn into something a cut above where Western normally lives, but I think Fleck wasn't there long enough to establish a runway that helped keep them there in the wake of someone without what I assume to be his insane personal charisma.
