Longtime listener! Boise talk was mostly accurate but some context on Avalos.

The season leading up to his firing:

-Losing 56-20 to UW. Look, you never want to to smacked by 30+ but you could stomach it at the time and even more so as the season progressed and what UW was.

-Losing on a field goal to UCF. Again, disappointing but could stomach it.

-Losing at Memphis was the beginning of the turn. Boise had a 17-0 lead. Avalos made questionable decisions and began to totally mismanage a QB situation.

-Losing to Fresno the poor management of the QB situation came to a head. Boise had an unacceptable special teams error (a reoccurring issue of the Avalos era) at the end of the first half that drastically altered the feel of the game.

-Losing to CSU was the nail in the coffin. Boise was up by 20 with 7 minutes left and totally collapsed losing on a hail mary to a team that had never beat them.
