I'm sure Kirsh has checked, but Pitt's throwback Big East schedule feat Cincinnati, WVU, Syracuse, Louisville and BC this season is so sweet.

Apple cup on Memorial Day could have some legs. Ideally stay home and home but could become a Permanent ‘neutral’ site game in the Seahawks’ stadium like it is this year. Unfortunately there are people on both sides who don’t want it to continue.

Moving the season forward is rough on quarter system schools. Washington already has four games before classes start. Student section is usually pretty thin for obvious reasons those games. Moving another week forward and you could regularly only have two-three on campus games while students are in session.

Richard is right, CFB needs to do something or the NFL is going to take over Labor Day Weekend as well. Thanksgiving night, Black Friday, and the good time slots for an expanded playoff have already been ceded to the NFL due either to inaction by CFB or by refusing to schedule meaningful games during those time slots. Fans love rivalry week, but in reality, we are getting an Amazon Black Friday game because outside of Ohio State/Michigan and the Iron Bowl, most of the rivalry week games don't matter to the rest of the country. CFB needs to put big time matchups on Thursday, Sunday, and Monday of Labor Day weekend or the NFL is going to slide right in.

Two other notes: Minnesota needed a Thursday night game opening weekend, because Saturday & Sunday of Labor Day are huge for the State Fair, and Midwest teams don't want to play night games in November because if it snows, driving home at midnight is a disaster.

So interestingly enough, several of the streaming services (peacock specifically) isn’t available north of the border. As a Canadian, it’s amazingly hard for me to access B1G football right now and the new contract has made it much worse. I watched more SEC last year than than B1G and I’m a Wisconsin alum
